About the Item
In this listing you will find an Antique Orthodox Icon depicting the Transfiguration of Christ, a significant event in the Gospels where Jesus's divine nature was revealed to three of his apostles on Mount Tabor. It is done in Bysantian style with stark palette of basic colors - red, yellow and blue. Estimated time of creation of this piece is mid 19th Century in the Balkan region, most likely in Serbia.
The icon is in good antique condition with visible signs of time.
