A renowned tradition in Latin America and Puerto Rico is the making of Santos de Palos by master carvers since the 19th century. This is an early 20th century wood plaster carving sculpture of Our Lady of Monserrat and baby Jesus. It was hand carved by Tito Aguilera (1851-1941). She is the Saint Patron of Catalonia, Spain.
