About the Item
Elegant French holy water font dating from circa 1900–1910, crafted from richly veined onyx, adorned with an ormolu gilt bronze relief depicting the Virgin Mary with Child, and fitted with a finely cut crystal basin. The frame is embellished with decorative ormolu mounts, and the original copper backplate is still present. This devotional piece can be displayed standing or hung on the wall, making it versatile for both personal devotion and decorative purposes.
In very good condition with minor signs of age. Light wear on the onyx patina.
