This crucifix is accompanied by a crown of thorns surrounded by rays.
At the feet of Christ there is also a miraculous medal.
A prized object of devotion among Catholics, the miraculous medal fascinates people because of the miracles attributed to it. The origins of the miraculous medal date back to the early 19th century, in the heart of Paris.
The origins of this medal date back to 1830, when the Virgin Mary appeared twice to Catherine Labouré, a Daughter of Charity, in the chapel of a Parisian convent on Rue du Bac. During her apparition, the Virgin Mary entrusted the sister with a mission: to have a medal struck with a design inspired by her apparition, revealing her Immaculate Conception.
This medal is known to protect and guide people towards salvation.
Sold in millions of copies around the world, the medal is usually worn as a pendant. More rarely, it is used as an ornament on a crucifix, as is the case with this devotional object.
