Matched pair of 19th Century Hand Carved Indian Temple Processional Figures Dated to the later part of the 19th Century this matched pair of Indian temple processional figures stand on their original stamped bases as shown. With support hooks to the rear to which they would have been attached to a large processional set of sorts. Hand carved detail across both these figures with old metal rivets and nails where old repairs have taken place (firmly in place). Some areas still have canvas material covering fewer flexible parts. A lot of the painted surface has faded over the years, but the colour left is firmly in place. Size in inches: H 32” x W 18” x D 10” Origin: India Date: Late 19th Century Condition: Aged These are solid object with lots of surface wear and missing detail as shown. Numerous old nails and metal rivets are in place where old repairs have taken place as well as old dried out canvas sections to help support the repairs. Chipped and faded surface detail is present. Missing wooden surface detail is also present. Authentic antique examples with lots of age and use.
