Procession banner from the German pilgrimage site Kevelaar (near the Dutch boarder). The banner, in blue, red and beige silk with brocade, hangs from a wood carved and gilded pendant. The Madonna with Child is painted in oil on canvas. The silk has suffered heavily, which also excuses a certain atmosphere.
