About the Item

A Purim Grogger by Jacobs in the late 20th Century Grogger (noisemaker) is shaped in the figure of a metallic fish with tan and red fins and attached to the main stem. A metallic fin sticks out from underneath the fish and serves as the cog that fits into the teeth of the grogger and when freely rotated makes a loud noise for use on the festival of Purim. There is a single conical-shaped piece of brass attached at the bottom of the handle.
