Mid size, finest quality carved alabaster Madonna sculpture on a marble base. If you are a collector of antique and finest quality religious artefacts then this hand carved Virgin Mary could be gracing your home or house of prayer soon. Judging from the style and material we felt that this solid alabaster sculpture from circa 1920 was made in Italy. The Italian sculptor's name on the back confirmed that. Since Virgin Mary sculptures of alabster and of this design and age hardly ever come onto the market, this most certainly is a rare antique.
