About the Item

'Fragment of a stained-glass window (possibly from Chartres) depicting Saint George or Saint Michael holding a lance. Likely part of a larger stained-glass window made in France around 1830-1840. A zinc light box was added to illuminate it from behind. Polychromy is very prominent; a lead reinforcement has been added to the right hand.'
