About the Item

A charming cast iron John Chatillon Sons scale with original red paint and a large brass tray. The weight is fixed, moving from side to side. J. Chatillon Sons is stamped on the weight bar. The red paint has a beautiful patina, as well as the brass tray. Perfect for decorative use on a kitchen counter as a fruit bowl. In as found condition. Condition commensurate with age and use. The surface of the scale has old scratches from use. The brass tray is discolored from age and use, see photos.
