About the Item
An odd obscura collectible in the form of a rare, antique brass advertising ashtray.
The ashtray is engraved with "H.E. Baldwin - Philadelphia / Artificial Human Eyes" around the rim, has indented cigarette rests dividing the words, and a rope twist pattern to the rim.
H.E. Baldwin was apparently a 19th century Philadelphia merchant.
Stamped for The Metal Arts Co. in Rochester, NY to the reverse.
Simply a wonderful collectible curiosity!
