About the Item

A handsome cased World War One issued compass with hinged lid, the little button on the top used to open; just like a full hunter pocket watch. The front is stamped with the war office crow's foot mark. The dial is lucky enough to have an English Design Registration Number (416645) which allows us to date the initial design to 1903. The case is made from nickel with minor wear commensurate with age and use, professionally cleaned and polished. Excellent condition and in full working order measuring 2 1/2" x 2"x 1/2".
