About the Item
ABOUT
An original German perpetual desk calendar. Change the day of the week and date by pressing the Bakelite handle on the side. A knob in the back allows you to adjust the date to match the day of the week. Month cards are manually changed and held in the center. Copper plate on marble base with Bakelite handle. Original label on the bottom.
CREATOR G. Theissinger, Frankfurt, Germany.
DATE OF MANUFACTURE c.1930-1940.
MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES Copper Plate, Marble, Bakelite.
CONDITION Good. Wear consistent with age and use. Works properly. One knob in the back adjusts the left side number 1, 2, and 3 so the date is accurate. The other knob doesn't work. Repaired crack in base. Missing February, April, June, July, October and December cards.
