Newsreel 16mm cinema films were shot with the optical sound track being recorded on the film as picture was being shot in the 1940s. This appears to be a working factory correct NR-24 optical sound recording amplifier. It is in the factory original color and finish and still has the wiring harness in place to attach to the sound on film system.
