About the Item
Ear trumpet, bell and earphone of ebonite and extension of rubber, German medical instrument, manufacture of the early 1900s. Measures: Length 10 cm, 3.9 inches, bell diameter 4.5 cm, 1.77 inches. Good condition.
The principle of its operation is based on the reflection of sound on the internal walls, so that a greater amount of energy from the propagation of sound waves is concentrated on the eardrum membrane. In fact, the narrowest part is placed near the ear and the wider one collects sound waves.
