About the Item
If you are a seasoned antique bicycle collector than you already know how rare a find this Chilion really is. All wooden wheel and frame antique bicycles are among the rarest. There were few made and very costly. The Hickory wood was strong but still susceptible to moisture and weather… So few survived. This example was a totally restored including all new nickel-plating, spokes and wood finishing. Note that even the handlebars are steam bentwood. Included is a beautiful period carbide headlight and cyclometer.
