Aluminium Mallet Head Putter.
A very unusual triangular shaped alloy head putter with hickory shaft and suede leather grip. A great center-shafted croquet style putter by an unknown maker.
The measurements shown are the length of the whole club, the width and depth of the face.
In 1910 the R&A ruling against center-shafted and croquet style putters prohibited their use during sanctioned play, ultimately banned altogether in 1968.
