Antique English Rifle Gun Shoot Trophy Award Plaque Silver plate Shield c1910.
Direct from England, just arrived in our most recent container, we have several of these one-of-a-kind English trophies that are brimming with provenance, and oh “the stories they could tell”!
This round oak plaque/trophy has a dimensional descriptive banner at the top, as follows: CORONATION RIFLE SHOOT, CONSETT U.D.C. TEAMS 1953.
The oval center plaque has a target above crossed rifles surrounded by laurel branches with a raised oval edge. The plaque is marked “Rd 561450”, a British registry mark indicating 1909-1910. There are 7 individual ‘shields’, none ever being monogramed!.
Measurements: 15.25” ht. x 14.5” x 1.75”.
