Superb Rare Polished Victorian Bamboo Wood Ladys or Gentlemans Walking Stick of outstanding quality by Charles Cook who also worked for renowned Stick makers Brigg Sons in London, enclosing its original measuring brass mounted at top and end wooden measuring gadget, which reads “COOK MAKER TO THE HONBLE BOARD OF EXCISE LATE WELLINGTOWN CROWN COURT SOHO LONDON”. Circa mid to late Nineteenth Century The beautiful bun shaped polished brass removable grip above a Coromandel wood collar and brass ring detail ending on a tapering bamboo wood shaft with original brass unusually long ferrule, almost five inches long. Condition: Good condition with nice patination, the inside stick is nice and clean the word GALLONS also appears, dont know why! *This is a stunning Walking Cane in exceptional condition.
