About the Item

This is an elegant Anglo Indian ladies silver mounted polished walking stick, circa 1860 in date.   This decorative walking cane features a splendid globular silver pommel topped with a circular cartouche, left blank to engrave the bearer's initials, deeply embossed with elegant floral motifs on an ebonized bamboo tapering shaft with its original brass ferrule.    A truly beautiful piece that would make a fine addition to any antique collection.   Condition: In excellent condition with minor signs of use commensurate with age, as seen in the accompanying photographs, the stick displays beautifully. Dimensions in cm: Height 87 cm x Width 4 cm x Depth 4 cm Dimensions in inches: Height 2 foot, 10 inches x Width 2 inches x Depth 2 inches Size of cane that you need Convert your height into inches. For example, if you are 5' 10” in your shoes, your height is 70 inches. Divide by two and then add ½ inch to determine your approximate cane size.In our example, if you are 70 inches tall (5' 10”), your approximate cane size would be 35” plus ½”= 35.5 inches.
