About the Item
An antique wood saddle stand from the early 1900s. This piece is created from wood and was used at a cattle ranch just outside the small rural town of Nowata, Oklahoma. We love the idea of using it as a cookbook stand or to display one of your favorite books. (Even on a coffee table, with the added height it would bring dimension to your tablescape!) Two angled pieces of wood are painted in blue where the book would sit. As you can see in some areas there are indentions for where the saddle was placed for decades and decades. A rope is still affixed to the piece, however the rope is newer than the stand. The town in which this piece was sourced is located in a very rural area surrounded by hundreds of acres of farmland. Wherever this piece finds its new home, it is sure to be a great conversation piece!
