About the Item
Rare Windbreaker Jacket of waterproof fabric, padded with Polyamide and with cotton interior.
Polyamide padding was a technical choice because it has relatively low specific gravity, impact and wear resistance, electrical insulation, and resistance to solvents, oils, greases and fuels. Self-extinguishing.
The inside of the jacket is completely detachable and can be used on its own as a windbreaker for mid-seasons; it is in fact also 'a finished garment and equipped with pockets and zipper closure.
The Puffer Jacket 312 T4 was not a simple padded jacket...
accompanied the racing team in the winter time and kept the Ferrari "men of the wall" warm.
The year of production was 1979 and Ferrari was returning Iridata in Formula 1 with South African driver Jody Scheckter at the wheel of just such a Ferrari 312 T4... the other was driven by Gilles Villeneuve!
