About the Item

Hot Curl wooden surfboard made in 2017 by Juan Rodriguez. Features the iconic hot curl design invented by the late John Kelly (1919-2010), renowned big wave surfing pioneer. The hot curl shape was the first generation big wave surfboard design, first made in the late 1930s. Made with choice redwood pieces cut from old wine storage tanks in California. A gorgeous example of an early big wave surfboard design, made by the renowned hall of fame surfboard shaper Juan Rodriguez.
