About the Item
A rare original early 20th century vaulting pommel horse in brown suede leather by Niels Larsen
Sons. The original suede has a wonderful, warm brown color and patina. There is an old glue and stitch repair on one side which adds to the character of the piece.
The legs of the Pommel Horse show the expected bangs and scuffs from years of use. The brown finish
color of the wood legs is original. The telescoping mechanism on all four legs works smoothly and easily.
Signed with a plaque that reads Niels Larsen
Son LTD Makers Leeds.
The suede covered body of the Pommel Horse is; H 12 inches, W 25 inches and D 13 inches.
The posted dimensions of the Pommel Horse are as shown in the first photograph and are; H 32.5 inches, D 13 inches and W 25 inches.
When the legs are fully extended the dimensions are: H 50 inches, W 41.5 inches and D 40 inches.
