Vintage Snaffles Hunting Print, Merry England.
A hand coloured Snaffles photolithograph entitled 'Merry England' with secondary caption "and worth a guinea a minute". The main image depicts a gentleman in hunting pinks wearing a top hat sat on his horse galloping on in the falling rain, behind following in the distance is a young lady jumping a gate. In the bottom margin is a remarque depicting a fox jumping a field drainage ditch (later editions were of an officer resting his leg on the arm of a chair in the Indian heat). The print is with a Snaffles signature in pencil and the Snaffles blindstamp in the form of a bridle bit, framed in original black frame.
