About the Item
5 ¾" Side Cast Wooden Fishing Reel.
A good quality unusual design, wooden centre pin fishing reel made of walnut. The front plate with two turned wooden handles and a brass screw cap over a central nut. It has a brass foot and back strap with incorporated locking mechanism, there is a brass wing nut to the rear to enable removal of the drum. The foot has the option of being able to swivel 90º and lock for side casting. It is in good clean condition, it generally bears a patina commensurate with its age. No makers mark.
Width size shown is without handles, handles are an extra 3 cm.
