About the Item
A collection of finely painted entomology studies, on card later mounted and set within a fantastic velvet lined, glazed period gothic revival shadow box.
The shadow box has its original ebonised finish, with water gilt internal slip. Each study has been secured within the case via four brass pins.
Age related staining to the mid 19th century studies, the odd very minor knock and abrasion to the shadow box.
