About the Item

Here for your consideration is a rare Western Victorian men's fur long coat! Size 42 chest and 51" long - it fits me great although I'm a bit short lol. All original with fur hide ( I have been told it is bear but I'm not sure), beautiful stitched cotton lining and insulated backing, leather armpit inserts and bottom edging, knitted inner cuffs and wooden closure buttons, also a large turn-up collar to keep the wind out. There are two outer hand pockets and a inner large chest wallet pocket. This is from the EOES Robe Tanning Co. 1860 to 1920. There is little to no wear on this extraordinary coat, the only issues are the metal chain used to hang it is ripped out as this coat is quite heavy, the lining is worn were the owner's waist pistol grip would have been.
