About the Item

A fine antique Austrian pair of cigar nips. In the form of a seated lion with an open mouth. Between the lion's jaws are a pair of ball finials attached to a pair of retracted steel cigar nips. To extend the ball ends are squeezed together and the nips slide out. Marked Austria to the base of one foot.. Simply a wonderful, whimsical antique cigar accessory! Date: 20th Century Overall Condition: It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition. Condition Details: There is some oxidation or rust to the cigar nips and there is a slight bit of resistance to pull them out. Otherwise, there are some fine light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Marks: Marked Austria to the sole of the lion's back left foot.
