About the Item

This silver and enamel cigarette case is hallmarked by an unknown maker and is presumed to have been made in Austria in approximately 1920. The case is composed of .800 silver and has a central panel with a raised flower basket and enamel background, and accented on either side with a large flowing ribbon. The background of the paneled front is done with engine turned decoration. The inside of the box is clearly hallmarked, but again the maker could not be identified and the number 800 for the silver content.
