About the Item
This sterling silver and intricately engraved cigar case was made in London England in circa 1831, during the reign of King George IV. The top and bottom are both ornately engraved with a scrolling leaf decoration and each is hallmarked. The top slides firmly into place and opens and closes as intended. The wear to the bottom makes identifying the makers mark too difficult to determine with any certainty, so will be regarded as unknown.
