About the Item

An elegant Danish pipe by Bari, model Mandarin, crafted in fine briar with a warm, reddish-brown finish that highlights the wood’s natural grain. The rounded bowl features a decorative double incised ring near the rim, a subtle yet refined detail characteristic of Bari’s design ethos. The black vulcanite stem, slightly curved for comfort, is stamped BARI in gold lettering and connects seamlessly to the shank. On the underside, the name MANDARIN is clearly impressed, confirming the model. This piece embodies the modernist Scandinavian tradition, with a focus on both practicality and aesthetic harmony. While the stem shows minor signs of wear from use, the pipe remains a fine example of Bari’s mid-20th-century production, celebrated for balancing affordability and craftsmanship.
