About the Item

An unusual, rare pair of hand painted decorative candle sticks. Highly decorative with hand painted floral decoration on Gesso. Probably Asian, mid/late 19th Century Not an exact pair, one dark blue and the other in black with slight variation in pattern. Both of similar size and proportions. Later addition of copper insert for use are floor standing ashtrays, some burn marks to the original bowls, copper inset very well made. A highly unusual and decorative pair for use as shelf, mantel or table display.
