About the Item
Edwardian Period, Continental Silver (.800) cigarette case with hinged lid, having a coat of arms in the upper left front corner, Austria, Ca. 1910, Moritz Zdekauer - maker. Cigarettes are held in place by the original elastic bands which are in good condition. When closed, the case measures approximately 2 3/4 inches wide (at widest point where opener/closure is) x 3 1/2 inches deep x almost 3/4 inches high (when lying flat). When opened, the case is approximately 5 1/2 inches wide. The case weighs 3.345 Troy ounces. The lid closes tightly. Dark areas on sterling silver in photos are reflections. In good antique condition.
