About the Item

Smoker kit from the famous and luxurious Maison Longchamp. Beautiful tan, camel, havana, brown color. Comprising 4 pieces: an ashtray, a quadruple pipe holder, a tobacco jar and match jar. Each piece is made of earthenware ceramic and brown saddle leather. The leather is thick and of a good quality, typical of the Maison Longchamp. Stitching. Quality earthenware. High quality set. decorative. Ideal for collectors or for smokers of pipes, cigars and cigarettes. Each piece is stamped "Longchamp - France" accompanied by the famous logo of the brand, a galloping racehorse inspired by English engravings from the end of the 19th century, drawn by Turenne Chevallereau. Circa 1950 - France Jean Cassegrain, founder of the Longchamp brand, began in the 1930s/1940s in Paris by making high-end leather-wrapped pipes. The models, in classic or exotic refined leather, arouse the interest of customers. Particularly appreciated by soldiers of the Allied troops, these pipes were gradually sold in the stores supplying American bases around the world and became luxury items. Sales of these leather-wrapped pipes are exploding. The Longchamp brand was born in 1948. In the 1950s, the company, which only marketed products for smokers such as cigarette cases, gradually turned towards leather goods and the manufacture of leather accessories.
