About the Item

A large Mid-Century Era pottery coffee table ashtray, designed by Georges Briard for hyalyn Porcelain, early 1960s. The avocado green, kidney shaped ashtray is from the Midas line. The tray has two compartments separated by a notched bridge for holding cigarettes. Decorated with a Gold colored city-scape in raised enamel and showing the Briard signature. Corked back, stamped Georges Briard MIDAS, hyalyn pottery, USA 12.5 in. L x 7 in. W x 1.5 in. H In very good condition, light wear to the cork backing as expected.
