About the Item
This large cigarette case was made by the well known Wadsworth's of Canada and dates to approximately 1970 and done in the period Mid-Century Modern style. The box is composed of engine turned metal with a gilt finsih, and features an engraved and cold-painted World globe on the top, flanked by two stylized compasses. The box is hinged with a metal clasp and has a lift bar to secure the cigarettes in the case. The box is signed on the hinged lift bar with the Wadsworths maker's mark in script lettering.
