Antique Faux Crocodile Leather Cigar Case With Silver Collar.
A high quality faux crocodile leather Edwardian cigar case with thick fluted hallmarked silver collar, London 1910, makers mark unidentifiable. Embossed in gilt, a 'crown' and 'Katzau, Hoflieferant, Baden - Baden'. Katzau refers to Louis Katzau's luxury goods shop (hoflieferant = purveyor) in Baden-Baden, south-western Germany, at the north-western border of the Black Forest mountain range on the small river Oos. The case will expand for differing lengths of cigar.
