Round Cylindrical snuffbox, regular, consisting of a base and a removable interlocking lid. On the lid a ring in smooth pink gold, which stops a glass lens. Inside a rare Memento mori decoration painted in oil on a white agate table. The painting depicts a burnt book above which a skull is placed. Next to a flower. Book and flower to indicate the transience of earthly life. France early 19th century. (SHIP TO EU ONLY)
