About the Item

This Pre-prohibition round advertising beer tray, promoting "Pacific Beer" was a product made by "The Pacific Brewing Malting Co. Tacoma" Washington, as is stated directly on the tray. Also stated "Best East or West". This circa 1910 tray would have been used in bars and saloons by servers to carry drinks, hopefully "Pacific Beer". This particular tray is, obviously in unused condition and is in excellent to near mint all original shape with no touch up and it's original lithography; which consists of a beautiful brown tinted simulated wood grain finish ; a gold circumference band to the top border and recessed well; and a lovely image of Mt. Ranier (incorrectly calling it "Mt. Tacoma 14,256 ft"), a lake and pine trees completes the scenery; rear side of tray is painted green. Manufacturer is attributed to Charles Shonk in Chicago. Dimensions: 1 3/8" high x 12" diameter. Note: A metal magnetic rectangular bar especially made for beer trays to make hanging for display easy, is included with the purchase. Provenance: I guarantee the authenticity of this tray. It is from my own personal collection of Western Americana memorabilia acquired 1998.
