About the Item
Rare, Vintage, Edwardian-Style, sterling silver-mounted, yellow threaded crystal, barrel-form match striker, London, year-hallmarked for 1987, Monarch Silversmiths - makers. The threading on the crystal is artfully cut into two sections, leaving a clear section between the threaded sections and another one at the bottom of the striker, so it looks as if the barrel has staves (as a real barrel would). Measures almost 2 1/2 inches high (at highest point) x 2 inches diameter across bottom (narrowest point). Dark areas on sterling silver in photos are reflections. In very good antique condition.
