About the Item
A combined ash receiver, cigar and cigarette holder made of cast patinated copper in the form of a cabin cruiser boat issued US design patent 87,647 in 1932 to R. U. Scarponi of 1929 54th Street Brooklyn, NY, born in Rome, Italy 1900, employed by Con-Edison at 4 Irving Place, NYC. In 1926 he married Katherine or Catherine Bondfield and together they had one child, a daughter, Frances Dolores Scarponi in June 1928 who passed away in December 1928.
Three pieces total: the boat, the roof of the cabin and the deck of the bow (these lift off for storing matches and ash)
