About the Item
A fine example of Italian craftsmanship from one of the most respected names in pipe making. The pipe features a classic straight billiard shape, simple yet elegant, allowing the natural grain of the briar to take center stage.
The wood has aged to a rich reddish-brown patina, showcasing a tight and attractive birdseye and cross-grain pattern that speaks of quality briar selection.
The shank bears a silver band, engraved with the Savinelli name and hallmark, adding both strength and refinement to the design. The stem, made of black vulcanite, has oxidized slightly with age but remains solid and functional. The bowl, with its even cylindrical walls, displays light signs of prior use, its interior showing a smooth layer of carbonization consistent with gentle smoking.
