About the Item
Set of four early glass snuff bottles, very rare from the 1920s, made of one of the glassworks in the Bohemian Forest, Germany.
These are collection items that were made to a masterful quality, which is even today a very rare craftsmanship that only a few glass artists still master.
Of the four bottles, three are designed with delicate overlapping and twisted threads and one is designed with glass threads lying next to each other. All four are in different colors, from orange, red, yellow to blue and white.
Measurements each, approx.: height 4,33 in – 11 cm, width 3,14 in – 8 cm, depth 0,98 in – 2,5 cm
One of the many literatures: Thomas Dexel - Gebrauchsglas, Klinkhardt
Biermann, Munich 1977, page 85, picture page 66
The snuff bottles are mouth-blown and of particularly high quality. A set of collectibles for every elaborate display case. Bottles like these are on display in different European glass museums.
