A shagreen (sharkskin) cigarette case, in the Modern style, circa early to mid-20th century. Piece is rectangular with a dyed green shagreen exterior finished and a gold metal interior. A great piece to hold items in a chic and convenient way (as demonstrated.) Internal measurements: 5.25" Width x 3" Height. Shown holding paper money and business cards. Piece may have been designed to hold 3-inch cigarette (back in the day of non-filter), today, perhaps another type of product or other items as demonstrated.
