Rare silver cigarette case with enameled portrait of Maharaja Sajjan Singh Bahadur of Ratlam State (1880 - 1947).Silver case (tested), probably Anglo-Indian, first quarter of the 20th century Rectangular shape with hinged lid and button, smooth and polished bottom surface, the top of the lid with enameled portrait of Maharaja Sajjan Singh Bahadur of Ratlam State. No marks. Signs of time and wear and tear. Major General Sir Sajjan Singh Bahadur (January 13, 1880 - February 3, 1947) was a British Indian Army officer and maharaja of the princely state of Ratlam, in present-day Madhya Pradesh, who reigned from 1893 to 1947, six months before India's independence from British rule.
