We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning antique PH Vogel
Co silver and gold gilt cigarette case
A very rare good looking and functional piece of collectible smoking equipment. Shagreen is exceptionally collectible on its own, it is Sharkskin and very rare
The insides are silver with gold gilding, the silver is hallmarked PHV
Co and made in England, there are no sterling silver hallmarks so it's being listed as white metal. The piece has then been gold gilt on top
The shagreen outer is all in place and free from damage however it has discolouring, I haven’t tried to clean it. You can see on the inside a small dent and two pin holes where most likely a little monogram was pinned to the other side with initials on
