Like many artists, the one who handcrafted the sculptures that were used to create these bookends probably traveled through Indonesia or India. These creative minds came back full of inspiration of all they had witnessed, because certainly back then, they entered a whole new world. The meditating males on these marble based bookends are made of silvered brass and the artist perfectly captured their serene faces, their turban head wear and their relaxed bodies.
