About the Item
This pair of Mid 20th Century Bookends were hand carved in the Grand Tour style from alabaster in Italy in the mid 1900's. Each bookend features ribbed columns resting on raised stepped bases. Carved in the form of ancient ruins, these bookends showcase natural veining which makes each piece unique. One of the bookends retains its original makers mark sticker reading Genuine Alabaster, Hand Carved, Made in Italy. Sculptural in design and architecturally inspired, these Mid 20th Century Italian Alabaster Column Bookends will make a statement when placed in all interior styles. The books in the photo are for display purposed only and are not included in this listing.
