About the Item
This stunning pair of Mid-Century Modern ”Astrolite" bookends were realized the Ritts Co. of Los Angeles, circa 1970. They offer faceted, sculptural forms in translucent Lucite, that brilliantly catch and radiate ambient light (as well as the colors of the book covers). With their idiosyncratic forms and monochromatic palate, these bookends are as versatile as they are aesthetically compelling, blending perfectly with any style of interior from classic midcentury to contemporary. The Ritts Company was owned by Herbert and Shirley Ritts, parents of famed photographer Herb Ritts. Excellent vintage condition,
